A first aid kit is something that everyone should have in the home, and we have compiled for you a list of the basics that everyone should have for an all natural holistic first aid kit. These are things that can easily be purchased at a supermarket such as whole foods or other natural health stores, or online. We also recommend that everyone take a first aid course, which the Red Cross offers regularly on the weekdays and weekends and teaches you basic practices of first aid treatment. Once you are comfortable with the practical aspects of first aid, you can start to substitute some of the synthetic preparations with complementary remedies.
First, some basic tips;
If an injury is severe, call an emergency service or a licensed medical doctor immediately. It is important to stay calm and not move the person unless it is absolutely necessary. If the person is conscious, also try to keep them calm and relaxed. While you wait for emergency services, use arnica 30c homeopathic remedy or Rescue Remedy which should help with initial shock. If the person is unconscious, moisten their lips with the remedy. Bystanders can also benefit from the remedy if they are beginning to panic.
